FMC Keffi’s Kidney, Dialysis Centers To Be Operational Soon

The proposed Kidney and Dialysis Centres at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Keffi, Nasarawa State is billed to take off next year, as all necessary structural work are near completion.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu, disclosed this in his office, yesterday, while speaking on the progress recorded so far by the centers as regards providing quality healthcare delivery services to the people.

Adamu also disclosed that funds for the purchase of all the sophisticated medical equipment for the take-off of the center would be captured in the 2021 federal budget, adding that the staff that would handle the two centers would be adequately trained to man the machines.

He further assured that all the important ground work would be completed by the center, saying that other departments of the hospital were also not left out in undertaken one repair or the other to make service provision to the patients effective and qualitative.

On the issue of the Electronic Medical Records, the CMD explained that the challenges being encountered was as a result of the new platform now being adopted, assuring that efforts are being put in place to rectify the challenges for better services to the patients.

On the Tele- Medicine MRI and C T scan machines, the Medical Director stated that the center is looking for an investor that would take over the management of the CT scan, to ensure its prompt repairs whenever it brake down, saying that “It is better to have it function than not having it at all.”

According to him, the center is determined to ensure that all its medical equipment and personnel are working effectively adding that with such the patients would get the desired services.
