The High Commission of Ghana in Nigeria has denied alleged castigation of Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari led-government by President Nana Akufo-Addo.

An official told NAN that the comments trending on social media were fake news.

The source stressed that Akufo-Addo holds the brotherhood of Ghana and Nigeria in the highest regards.

Akufo-Addo was quoted to have allegedly said Ghana must learn from the mistakes of Nigeria and never in their entire history be so foolish.

“The Nigerian government is ethnic, not a nationalistic government. What I cannot understand is why Nigerians themselves are not angry enough to change the situation.”

The mission blamed the “enemies of the two brotherly countries whose desire is to continue to see unnecessary tension among the good people of the two countries”.

The official said there will continue to be peaceful coexistence among the good people of Ghana and Nigeria”.
